The team behind the indie romcom ‘Middle Life’ flipped over a car in the middle of a public road, shot a year long story in just 16 days, and filmed at 30+ locations across Toronto and Los Angeles – including filming at the Hollywood Walk of Fame without permission – all for just 70 thousand dollars.
Middle Life is a micro-budget throwback romantic comedy shot in Toronto and Los Angeles. Privately financed and made by a small group of close friends, the film has been playing festivals and theatrical dates throughout Canada for the last six months, and makes its Los Angeles debut with a special premiere screening at the Laemmle Royal on the west side of Los Angeles at (11523 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90025) on Thursday July 30th.
The special screening will feature a Q&A with writer-director Pavan Moondi, and actor/producers Peter Dreimanis (SINNERS) and Leah Fay Goldstein, as well as actor-comedian Colin Burgess – moderated by Mia Lee Vicino.
The team will be hanging out after the screening at the NICKEL MINE down the block from the cinema and you’re welcome to join!
